Heat affects our land in many geological ways: from heat waves to volcano and hot springs
and even the earth layer heat is all around us.
and even the earth layer heat is all around us.
There are four main layers of the earth; the crust, mantle, outer core, and inner core. At the bottom of the ocean, the crust or outermost layer, is six kilometers thick which is the thinnest layer.Traveling downwards, you reach the mantle. The mantle is 2900 kilometers thick and the more farther you go the more molten it gets. Even further down, you reach the outer core. The outer core is completely liquid, due to heat. This layer is 2200 kilometers. Finally you reach the inner core. Pressure has made this layer solid, despite the heat. This layer is 1250 kilometers thick and the final layer.
A hot spring happens when geothermic heat from the crust makes its way into pools of water. The heat makes the pools incredibly hot. Volcanoes form when two plates collide and one goes under the other. A mountain forms, but magma can escape from the mantle and erupt.
Heat gives us gemstones, such as diamonds. Diamonds are a form of carbon. Diamonds form when rocks containing carbon are pushed deep underground. The heat melts the rocks, releasing carbon. The carbon then crystallizes, and forms diamonds. The diamonds are then pushed back closer to the surface, where they can be mined.
How heat affects our lives.

Heat Waves
Heat waves can kill us, if prolonged exposure happens. Heat exhaustion is the first stage, where nausea, headaches and dizziness occur. If experiencing symptoms like these, you need to get out of the heat or risk heat stroke (hyperthermia). The symptoms are the same but hyperthermia requires medical attention. If left untreated, hyperthermia can kill.
Precious Stones
As said above, heat gives us gemstones. Gemstones are used as jewelry and tools, as diamonds are the strongest material in the world.
Cold-Blooded Creatures
Animals like lizards need the heat to survive. They stretch out on rocks to soak up heat, due to the fact they lack the ability to make internal heat. Without heat, all the cold-blooded animals would die, throwing off the balance of life.
Wild Fires
Wild fires occur when heat ignites dry grass. Wild fires destroy habitats and force people to flee their homes.
